5 plant-based foods that can help you build muscle
One frequent concern I hear about plant-based nutrition is that muscle building is more challenging on a plant-based diet. That's a myth! Plants are - hands down - the most nutrient-dense foods, and muscle-building isn't a one-dimensional process. Remember: exercise stimulates muscle growth, and if you consume excess protein, your body just disposes of it because it doesn't have any storage mechanism for amino acids. To build muscle, you need to be able to recover well, work out effectively, and eat nutrient dense foods to stimulate growth. Confused about what to eat?
